The weather threaten Rye on Memorial Day this year, and unfortunately the parade organized by the Legion Auxiliary was cancelled. In spite of the weather, the Rye Memorial Day ceremony was held indoors in the Rye City Hall chamber to a standing room crowd.
Dr. Robert Rothman, former US Marine, and former spiritual leader at Rye Community Synagogue was the keynote speaker. Post 128 Legionnaire and City Councilor Terry McCartney welcomed all on behalf of the City and Mayor Sack who was unable to attend.
