RYE TO HONOR ITS WAR DEAD ON MEMORIAL DAY

Once again, the City of Rye will carry on its tradition of honoring deceased veterans on Memorial Day, Monday, May 25, 2020.  However, this year due to the COVID-19 virus, we will be conducting the ceremony virtually which will air on RYE TV at 10:00 am and throughout the day.

Here are all of the viewing locations for the Rye Ceremony:

American Legion Post 128 Commander Fred de Barros led the virtual ceremony. Rye City Mayor Josh Cohn and County Executive George Latimer offered thoughts.  Legionnaire Terry McCartney read the roll of honor. Post Adjutant Tim Moynihan read the Gettysburg Address.  Robin Latimer sang patriotic songs and Rev. Kate Malin led the invocation.

The parade, and essay contest have been cancelled.
